Small Farm/Ranch

Small farms and ranches raise animals from the time they are born all the way through their harvest, roughly 18 months. Only one person or family is responsible for raising, feeding, and handling the animal. This is how we, as small producers, can confidently say we know our animals are raised in a responsible and humane manner. Cattle are typically not confined to small feedlots. Disease and sickness are not as prevalent because there are not cattle from other areas being introduced to the herd. Small producers can better manage genetics in their herd for a more consistent and quality product for you, the consumer. Cattle typically live solely on pasture or hay until the last couple months of their lives when their diet is supplemented with grain, still having 24/7 access to pasture.
